Batteries
Each flowlight runs on 1 AAA battery (included) at full brightness throughout battery life - does not dim. Please use only rechargeable NiMHs or high quality alkalines. Cheap alkalines will cause your light to last only a few minutes and turn off on impact.

Got this toy a few months back, first of all, customer service has been responsive and helpfull. (Thanks team!!)
Shipping was within the time frame & very securely wrapped (Received it in New Zealand).
I left a few months pass to get a good idea of the product, I absolutely love the feel of it !! Balance, weight, grip, quality... GREAT! Felt heavier than I thought at first ^^ I love that you can customize the size, got mine pretty short: Overall 68cm, quite challenging for a beginner but I like to fit in crowds.
Got the "Firefly" baton, it's practical when under UV light even though it's not too often it happens...(I have seen both the Firefly & classic, they really look like on the photo of the website, loved both). Also, you can see their logo 3D printed on the black part, I like this detail.
A negative point? I wish I could control the lights from the outside - Like with the capsule I had the chance to try once (I believe the capsule is their more modern system), buttons were outside, at each ends - Whereas for this one, every time you want to change program or turn them ON & OFF, you have to crack open the baton... My way around this: I set up my favourites & let them shuffle, love that you can do this!! Pretty easy to do once you get used to it, even with only one button.
In my opinion, some options are still tricky to manipulate (Like color temperature or brightness...) I haven't managed to change these yet. Will do soon! ^^
Regarding the battery... no complaints, I leave it ON for entire nights, I never bother to crack it open to turn it ON & OFF to save battery. It holds perfectly! I believe the "speed detector" helps.
I got myself 3 sets of batteries to play safe, during long festival nights, I may change them once for the last hour or so... never more!! & believe me, I USE IT ^^. It is true that the light does not dim as battery gets weaker, it goes red suddently when very low, that's it.
I mentionned I found the capsule's buttons placement more practical but in my opinion, the lights/colors for this baton look better as the "light system" is bigger/longer (More space for "patterns").
OW and, as a result, it also takes a bigger part of the baton SO, for the same full size, you get less grip lengh, it's quite noticeable on a SHORT baton, I got used to it... just bear that in mind when choosing your baton & its size... I would not worry for a longer one though.
This thing is very strong, it flies, falls, bangs... I think it loves it ^^ I avoid rain, wet grass... + I live by the beach & would love to bring it there but, I kind of feel like sand could sneak inside... (PLEASE, let me know if I am wrong, I would love to hear it is safe!!).
Overall, I LOVE it!! It's addictive, feels amazing!! Down sides are easy to work around really!! It was hard justifying to myself spending this money for a "toy" at first but I would 100% do it again! (Now, dreaming about the full vision...<3 !!!)
