administrative assistant

This role is ideal for someone with outstanding organizational skills and a great attitude, who takes pride in wearing many hats and staying on top of things, and who understands the value of hard work, service and wants to enable more awesome in the universe.

You will be delving into a myriad of integral business operations that require excellent judgment, execution and follow through. You will be working directly with the founders of the company, assisting with general office management and HR duties, basic bookkeeping and legal tasks, and engaging in work that supports the various teams within the company. You will be an integral part of a dedicated, motivated and fun team in a company that is regarded as the best in its niche industry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

General administrative and people operations
  • Reception and clerical duties, distribute mail and other deliveries
  • Assist with legal and compliance issues
  • Assist with basic HR tasks
  • Maintain physical organization and neatness of the office and common spaces
  • Maintain stock of office supplies, kitchen supplies, and printed materials
  • Maintain company calendar
  • Help plan and organize events, such as staff lunches and outing, celebrations, flowspace events, meet-ups
Bookkeeping support
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and accounts receivables/payables
  • Make bank deposits and maintain petty cash account
Team and programmatic support
  • Assist with writing, editing and proofing correspondences/reports covering a range of subjects
  • Assist with writing and laying out newsletter and marketing materials
  • Assist with creating and maintaining product support documents
  • Assist with website maintenance
  • Help produce flyers, web banners, sales sheets, catalogs etc.
  • Keep track of compliments, and share with company or social media
  • Assist with maintaining metrics and sales dashboards
  • Support data collection, analysis and reporting for teams
  • Assist with customer care and production as needed
Education & work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, or communications preferred; though we will consider community college or technical school certificate, with relevant experience
  • 2+ years experience in office administration desired

production & assembly elves

We are looking for temporary/part-time production and assembly elves in the flowspace in Emeryville, CA. You will be assisting in assembling and packing, helping make props, and general hands-on assignments. Positions are available immediately.

To succeed as a Flowtoys elf, you’ll need to be - in a word - awesome. We want intelligent, driven, friendly people who are energized by the challenges of serving a blossoming global community. This means you have excellent attention to detail, you are focused on serving the world, you can take direction, and have an energetic and positive attitude.
